“Where Is Bill Le Duc?” Contest Sent WebUndies.com Spokes-Duck around the World; Now Vote for His Best Travel Photo
Migrating from his home at the WebUndies.com headquarters in Cranford, NJ, Bill Le Duc has really gotten around this summer. During WebUndies’ “Where is Bill Le Duc?” contest, the company’s “Spokes-Duck” traveled thousands of miles and was photographed in some cool and interesting places. A Facebook poll is now open and individuals can vote for their favorite photo from Bill’s travels.
Internet retailer WebUndies.com (http://www.WebUndies.com), is known for its fun boxer shorts, underwear and pajamas, as well as its kitschy, friendly attitude. “We thought WebUndies customers and Facebook fans would enjoy seeing how far Bill Le Duc could get this summer. He hasn’t really migrated before,” says Terri Hunsinger, partner at WebUndies.com. She noted that folks could get the 5-1/2 inch tall Bill Le Duc car magnet by sending their name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org. The WebUndies shipping team also included the magnet in random orders.
Bill’s fans photographed him in vacation spots and shared the photos on the WebUndies Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/fununderwear). “From the comments on our Facebook page, we saw that folks really enjoyed bringing their Bill car magnet with them,” says Hunsinger. “And we were pretty excited that he visited Nanaimo, British Columbia; Penrith, Australia; Phuket, Thailand, and so many U.S. towns and cities.”
One of Bill’s first stops was Armstrong Fitness in Deerfield Beach, FL, where he was spotted getting fit for his travels. “We think his favorite stop was Cambria, CA, where he enjoyed the lemon pie at Lin’s Restaurant, so it’s a good thing he got in a good workout first,” laughs Hunsinger.
She encourages interested individuals to visit the WebUndies Facebook photo albums to enjoy the photos Bill’s customers and fans have posted. “Stop by the Poll page, and choose the photo you like the best. You can also share the fun with friends by clicking the buttons at the top of the poll page,” says Hunsinger.
Bill got to meet other famous ducks, such as the Duck Donuts (Kill Devil Hills, NC) and Duck Deli BBQ Restaurant (New Britain, PA) mascots. He also traveled on a motorcycle in Suffolk County, NY, and by limo in Las Vegas, NV. A map showing all of Bill’s stops is at http://www.webundies.com/Bill_migration.html.
Each week, a Facebook fan who posted a Bill travel picture was chosen at random and won a 25% discount off one item. “Bill likes to travel but he likes it even better when his customers get a little something extra,” says Hunsinger.
