Its not just underwear, its fun to
wear!
Cranford, NJ April 19, 2000 WebUndies.com,
the internets largest retailer of novelty boxer
shorts, celebrates its first anniversary on
May 7th with a listing as one of the 600 "coolest"
retail sites in the Internet Cool Guide for Shopping.
WebUndies.com, the leading online retailer of novelty
boxer shorts, offers over 140 different styles including
Looney Tunes, South Park, Austin Powers and Scooby-Doo
to name a few. The Internet Cool Guide for Shopping
was released in April 2000, listing the coolest internet
web sites for online shopping.
WebUndies.com launched its internet site in May 1999
offering about 30 different styles of novelty boxer
shorts. Since then, the product offerings have been
expanded to 140 different styles, and will approach
200 styles with the upcoming introduction of the spring
line-up. WebUndies.com has been featured as a "Cool
Sitings" site on Netscape, has partnered with
Freeride.com offering incentive shopping points, and
has had its boxers featured on radio station
giveaway contests. With its unique "BoxerGram"
gift shipping, WebUndies.com offers a fun way for
the ladies to send surprise gifts to the men.
"Its has been a lot of fun designing the
site and starting a new business." says Scott
Marino, the General Manager of WebUndies.com. "We
thought we had a good idea when we saw no one else
offering a good selection of boxers, but never thought
it would be this successful!" With sales growing
in double and triple digit percentages each month,
it has been tough to keep up with the demand. "We
keep buying more and more styles, and they all seem
to sell well," states Deborah Palacio, the head
buyer at WebUndies.com.
When interviewed about WebUndies.coms listing
in the Internet Cool Guide for Shopping, Rula Razek,
editor-in-chief of the Internet Cool Guide Series
states "We select sites based on a number of
criteria, including the appeal of the products for
sale, the site presentation, and the company's customer
service policies." She went on to say "We
liked the fun, quirky boxers at WebUndies.com -- and
appreciated the very clearly stated FAQ (frequently
asked questions) and help pages". The Internet
Cool Guide for Shopping is one in a series of books
that are recommended by The New York Times. The companion
website >http://www.internetcoolguide.com< will
be launched in May 2000, and will contain links to
WebUndies.com.
